How Can Your Company Contribute To Health And Medical Research?
In recent years, philanthropic giving has become embedded in the business policies and strategies of many Australian companies through a growing awareness of corporate social responsibility. This stems from an increased public expectation that corporate organisations should put something into the communities they work in, and a desire by companies to build trust and reputation - generating mutual benefits and new business.
Most corporate socially responsibility programs align with and complement the company's strategic objectives. Some corporate organisations develop programs that promote a healthy and productive workforce drawn from the communities served by the company.
Further information will be included in the Corporate Giving chapter of Research Australia Philanthropy's forthcoming publication, Health and medical research: A philanthropy toolkit, to be launched in early 2009.
