The Cook for a Cure campaign is the centerpiece of our annual community outreach program. It provides a unique opportunity for individuals and organisations to connect with and get behind medical research in Australia through a project or health area which is meaningful to them.
In 2011 the inaugural Cook for a Cure campaign reached over eleven million people across Australia.
The Cook for a Cure campaign is a month long event based around friends, family and work colleagues gathering to share a meal to support their chosen health area, by selecting from a group of twelve projects currently underway in Australian research institutions. Hosts choose their medical research projects and invite guests to share a meal and make a donation using the online donation function on the Cook for a Cure website. Through our website and via these donations, participants will become more connected and engaged with the opportunity to build a community and share with friends.Â
The Cook for a Cure 2012 website is now live and waiting to take your registrations! Visit www.cookforacure.com.au to register your event and send out those invitations to your May event. You can also talk to fellow hosts and update friends about your own event by liking us on Facebook.Â
