Expressions of Interest for Bupa Health Foundation 2012 Awards open

Innovative health initiatives that can deliver clear benefits to the health and wellbeing of the Australian community may be eligible for funding through the 2012 Bupa Health Foundation Health Awards. Over the past six years, the Bupa Health Foundation - one of the country’s leading private charitable organisations dedicated to health - has invested more than $17 million into health research and health programs.

The Foundation is now inviting Expressions of Interest from health services, research institutes, universities and other organisations for its 2012 awards.

Dr Christine Bennett, Chair, Bupa Health Foundation Steering Committee said: “The Foundation invests in initiatives that have the potential to make a real difference to the health of Australians and healthcare services. This support means that great ideas can be turned into real action.

“Too often, good ideas never get the chance to make a difference. The Bupa Health Foundation, with its ability to create meaningful partnerships in health research and practice, aims to put that right,” said Dr Bennett.

The Bupa Health Foundation invests across its key focus areas: promoting wellness, managing chronic disease, healthy ageing, empowering people about their health; and keeping healthcare affordable.
