OPPORTUNITY FOR SCIENTISTS TO COMMENT ON SCIENCE FUNDING
The Association of Australian Medical Research Institutes (AAMRI) welcomed the release by the Australian Research Council (ARC) of a consultation paper regarding the ARC Discovery Program. The medical research institute sector is a key component of the Australian health system and economy, as it is the engine-room for new ideas to better the health of all Australians. Professor Julie Campbell, President-elect of AAMRI said, science and innovation funding ensures that Australia can maintain its world-class position as a generator of new medical technology.
