Dave is a lawyer and governance professional with 24 years of experience across the UK and Australia. He has served on not-for-profit Boards in both countries for 17 years in both company secretarial and Board roles. He is a fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a GAICD. His current employment is as Governance Counsel and General Counsel of a large mental health and disability charity. He has a long association with the research sector: for personal reasons he was involved with the spinal research sector for 15 years (before small children got in the way of his time commitments), and, while growing up his father was an academic.
